This was shot far and away back before Toru Muranishi blew up (for a time) thanks to the Netflix series and was done by one of my favorite real creampie studios that few know of: Mobsters. They usually were not able to cast big names for a combination of budget concerns and the fact that they were based in Kyoto which made travel expenses a serious issue as well. Nevertheless, sometimes they struck gold: Ai Uehara, AIKA, and in this case, Rio Hamasaki. A great underdog studio, a great theme, and surprisingly unique camera angles I have not seen utilized by others.
